The Man Who Discovered Gravity

Isaac Newton was a very smart man who lived a long time ago. He was born in England in the year 1643. Newton was interested in many things, especially how things moved. When he was young, he loved to watch the apples fall from trees.

One day, while sitting under an apple tree, something amazing happened. Newton saw an apple fall to the ground. He wondered why the apple fell straight down instead of floating away. This got him thinking. He realized that something must be pulling the apple toward the ground. This was the beginning of his big discovery about gravity.

Newton thought about this a lot. He did many experiments and wrote down his ideas. He discovered that every object in the universe pulls on every other object. This force is called gravity. Gravity is what keeps us on the ground and makes things fall down.

Newton’s discovery of gravity was very important. It helped scientists understand how things move in space. Because of Newton’s work, people learned a lot about the planets and stars. Newton’s ideas also led to the development of many things we use today, like rockets and satellites.

Even though Newton lived a long time ago, his discoveries are still very important. We still use his ideas to explore space and understand how the world works.

“What goes up must come down.”

“If I have seen further, it is by standing on the shoulders of giants.”

“For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.”

“Gravity explains the motions of the planets, but it cannot explain who sets the planets in motion.”

“We build too many walls and not enough bridges.”
